Major refurbishment and upgrades to occupied CBD buildings pose a big challenge for project teams. From outdated building documentation, to complex custom designs, negotiating building access and ensuring the existing tenants’ quiet enjoyment, there are a range of factors to consider.
WinEllis successfully project managed the complete refurbishment of 66 Eagle Street, in the heart of Brisbane’s vibrant CBD. The WinEllis Team were engaged alongside Montlaur Project Services to project manage the design, procurement and construction of this A grade building’s forecourt and lobby upgrade, retail tenancy reconfiguration and new hotel quality end of trip facilities.
Project highlights included:
- Natural light into the end of trip amenities
- Direct and independent lift access between the bike store, lobby and showers/change rooms
- Bespoke hanging planters and green wall in the lobby
- Openness and transparency of the lobby, drawing people in and opening up the foyer to the city
